A note about your data.

Here’s how this starter version handles the information you put in your tome.

What your account stores

Your account contains your player name, email address, profile introduction, characters, private notes, and your Game Master interest preference. Passwords and recovery keys are stored as one-way hashes. They are not stored as readable passwords or keys in the database.

Who can see your library

The site limits your profile, characters, and notes to your signed-in account. There are no public player profiles or shared campaigns in this release. Site administrators with database access can access stored profile and character information; this is not an end-to-end encrypted vault.

Cookies and account protection

A necessary session cookie keeps you signed in and protects forms. Inactive sessions expire after two hours. The site records hashed email or account identifiers and hashed network addresses for login protection, with recent attempts retained for up to a day and cleared during later account attempts. This release has no advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or payment processing.

Recovery keys

You receive a recovery key when you register. Save it privately: anyone with your email address and key can reset your password. A successful recovery replaces the key and signs out older sessions. You can also generate a replacement in My Account using your password.

Your controls

Use My Account to edit your name, introduction, login email, or password. You can edit or delete individual characters and clear your journal. Your Game Master interest preference can be removed on the What’s Coming page. Self-service account deletion and data export are not included in this first release.

This local preview

This starter site stores its accounts separately from the existing Campaign Tome development site. It does not send verification emails, password-reset emails, or marketing messages. Existing development-site accounts do not automatically become starter memberships.
